The brand of choice in the dermal filler space is Juvéderm®, manufactured by Allergan, the leader in aesthetic enhancement injectables. The brands we carry include: Juvéderm® Volbella® XC, Juvéderm® Ultra® XC, Juvéderm® Voluma® XC, Juvéderm® XC, Juvéderm® Vollure® XC, and Juvéderm® Volume® XC.
Juvéderm® Ultra® XC, also created for the lip and lip area, is formulated with more density, so it can provide added volume or correction around the lips. Juvéderm® Ultra® XC is an excellent option if you are looking for a more dramatic increase in overall volume, or if you have depressions that require more substantial correction.
Juvéderm® XC, the parent product of the line, was developed specifically to target deep lines and folds on the face. This hyaluronic filler used “Hylacross” technology, meaning the hyaluronic gel material is all of the same weight. It help uniformly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face, and is most often used to restore volume along the sides of the mouth, including the nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
Known simply as “Volbella®”, this product is used on the lips or around the lips to help fill in fine lines (also known as “smokers’ lines”) or to add subtle overall volume of the lips. Because of it’s very fine density, this is an excellent introductory product for one’s first-time filler experience.
As of 2022, Volbella® is now FDA approved to also fill in the under-eye area, also known as the “tear troughs”.
Known simply as “Voluma®”, this product is developed specifically for the cheeks. If you are looking to plump the “apples” of the cheeks, Voluma® is the perfect hyaluronic filler for this. Voluma® adds volume and contour to the facial profile, lifting the cheeks, brightening the eyes, reducing pressure below the cheek bones and subtly lifting the jawline.
Juvéderm® Vollure® XC is the first and only FDA-approved filler to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds for up to 18 months. A single treatment adds subtle volume to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
Juvéderm® Volux® XC is an injectable gel designed to improve jawline definition in patients with moderate to severe loss of jawline definition. Adding volume to improve the shape and structure of the lower face helps provide smooth, long-lasting definition in the jawline for adults over 21 years of age.
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) microdroplet injectable in the US to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar in our skin that helps retain water, keeping the skin plump and hydrated. This is one of the reasons it’s among the most sought-after ingredients used in high-performance skincare products. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers strategically and immediately restore volume at the injection site, helping correct deep facial lines, increase overall volume and plump the area. There are a variety of dermal fillers to choose from, all with different consistencies, allowing your injector to reach the optimal correction for your specific goals.
The Juvéderm® family of products restore the look of youthful facial features, correcting facial contours for a younger, smoother overall appearance. All of our “XC” products contain a lidocaine additive to provide for a more pain-free experience. The lidocaine, a local anesthetic, helps numb the injection site in seconds, reducing or remove any pain associated with the injection sites.
Dermal filler, on a micro level, is a serum that is produced containing hyaluronic acid suspended in pearl-like gel. Hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar found in our skin, holds water, helping to impart volume in the area. Over time, it is metabolized by the body. Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 9 months to as long as 2 years, depending on the injection site, how much product is used, what specific formulation is used and the body’s own metabolic cycle.

Patients as early as their 20’s use dermal fillers to increase volume in the lips and on the apples of the cheeks to give facial lift and contour. Dermal fillers are also used on mature patients who are in need of deep line correction around the mouth and lower jaw, considered the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, which can extend from the end of the nose down to the jaw.

Juvéderm® Vollure® XC is the most recent addition to the family of Juvéderm® products and utilizes “Vycross” technology: a mixed density of larger and smaller gel “pearls”, which enables the product to penetrate deeper and last longer. This is opposed to Juvéderm®’s famous “Hylacross” technology, which is a smoother, more fluid gel, which has been formulated in both dense and super-fine consistencies.
